Ice Cream Cone

- A tutorial to demonstrate basic concepts.
- The basic 2D drawing contains:
- Freeform Vectors
- Fillet
- Circle tangent to 2 lines
- Quarter Circle
- Section Cut by Line
- Setting Handles
- Move with Ortho
- Hatch Fill

- Step 1
- Start by drawing 2 vectors as shown not worrying about scale.
- Hit 'V', set 2 points for the first vector, just hit 'V' again to end the
first line and draw the second line.

- Step 2
- Now hit 'U' for Units and set 2 points on the line shown.
- Enter "1" in the distance box.

- Step 3
- Now use Fillet with a value of 1/8 to connect the 2 vectors.
|

- Step 4
- Now use 'Circle Tangent to 2 Lines' with a radius of 1.
- Click on the 2 lines to place the circle.
|

- Step 5
- Now use Extend (Hotkey '_') to extend the upper vector to a 'Tangent' snap
on the circle
- Gravity Snap to the end of the vector, then click the
Tangent Snap icon, there will appear a snap preview square on the circle. Left
click near the square
|

- Step 6
- Repeat the step for the other vector.

- Step 7
- Now put a Quarter Circle from the end of the lower vector to the end of
the upper.
- Now select 'Section Cut by Line' and click on the Quarter Circle you just
made.

- Step 8
- Select the left side of the circle and hit Del to remove it.
|

- Step 9
- Hit Ctrl+A to select all
- Hit Ctrl+H to set handles and gravity snap to the 2 'Arc Center
Points' starting with the small end as shown.

- Step 10
- Now hit 'M' to move and place a first point for the bottom.
- Hit 'H' for Ortho Mode and then move the curser upwards and set another
point.
- The Cone should now be straight up.

- Step 11
- Now you can add Hatch Fill to finish the Cone.
- Draw->Hatch->Hatch Fill.
- Choose hatch pattern. Click inside area to fill.
- Shown with ASTERISK_2 on top
- Drag a window around all the top section to select it and choose a new
color, click the 'A' to apply.
- Bottom is WEAVE.
- Scale of both hatches is 10.
